Got it, I didn’t see that I also had a FAQ, was thinking I only had the CLASSIFIED clarification
Now I see my specific question is answered, the carriers could not even split up during a combat move that ends in the same place
OK how you want to do this? Bid or roll for sides.
The bidding rules I prefer are: bid down, 1 unit per territory, units must be placed where you have units belonging to the same power.
If you accept or decline a bid. Roll to see who bids first. Or roll to see who gets axis or allies.
Also state which side you are bidding toward… I noticed in your last game you gave axis ipcs. If you have different bid preferences let me know what they are. Also define negative bidding, usually things stop at 0, but I notice you guys play with negative bidding.
Cow, I am looking forward to the upcoming game.
The way that we have done the bidding over the past couple of matches is to start off bidding for the Allies. One side goes first with a + IPC bid for the allies, then the other side counters with a lower bid. This goes back and forth until one side decides to go no further… the side with the lowest allied bid plays as the Allies.
In our last game we did bids down to zero, then started doing a “plus” bid for the Axis. The inclusion of the Russian bomber skewed the bidding a bit for round 3.

When you say “units have to be placed where you have units belonging to the same power”, do you mean that you can only place a unit in a territory where you already have units? I’ve always done the bids where you could place a unit in any territory that you own at the beginning of the game.
I am good with the 1 unit per territory rule.

kay you guys start the bid.
Jeff and I don’t want to start the game until Jan 1 due to travelling/holidays etc but we can bid and set up the game now.
The way i understand the bid rules, only 1 unit per space, bid naval units can only be placed in terrs that already have units but ground units may be placed in any owned terr.
We will bid down as Jeff described with a “negative” bid representing a bonus for taking Axis not a removal of units.
We bid Allies +10
allies +6
We don’t have to do the whole 3 day time limit thing if we start ahead of schedule.
We can agree to start the time limit thing after Jan 1st or Jan 2nd.
aww don’t want to start early :(
we are off and running in the other semifinal of the winner’s bracket. good luck guys!

RGP is out of town for a few days, and I would prefer not to be a one man team. I think that he will be back towards the end of next week.
Sorry, I did not realize that the bidding had started.
We will go Allies +5
+4
Allies +3
This is getting interesting.
