    actually the ool is not what i wanted.

    i would have removed the bomber first.
    not sure what is the best way to handle this.

    obviously you should keep your first roll as this is before any ool.
    i am not sure if we should reroll from the point of the correction, which we would like as japans first roll was below average.
    or we reroll from the start of the 2nd round.

    everyone let me know what you think is fair, and i am sure we can work this out.


  • I have only played this one tournament here at http://www.axisandallies.org, so I dont know about any offical rule for how to fix this.
    Our team also play on another forum (daak.de) where the official ruling would be to reroll from the start of round 2.

    Our last opponent would have said that attackers dice in round 2 was legal and the dice should be rerolled from Japan defense round 2 with the correct type of units.

    Personally, I think it is most fair to reroll from the start of the beginning of round 2, but my team has to be heard first.

    We could reroll from round 2 but as the bmb roll J2 was a 5 I think the easiest way to solve this is to assume that the potentiel inf missed and the result would be same.

    I saved the bmb because that was what I would´ve done, not some cunnning plan to deprive you of your path to your world domination  8-)

    But if you want to reroll ghostglider can do that and then move on. Either is fine by me  :-)

    My take on it is this: The entire first round and the attack in round 2 wouldn’t change with a different ool, so the only thing that should be redone is the defense rolls in round 2 and beyond.

    I don’t know what the official rules / tournament rules are so I will defer to what ever agreement you guys come to.

    i guess the most logical thing is to go back to where the mistake was made and let the defender decide what to do.

    so in this case we go to the end of the first round of combat and correct the ools. our ool is bomber, 4inf, mech, 2art, mech, 5fig.

    having the attackers 2nd round rolls stay has a problem. if the ools are different in round1 the attacker has the option to retreat and a decision has to be made without future knowledge of the rolls for the 2nd round.

    so we fix the ool and remove bomber and 3inf. now you can decide if you want to retreat or continue to the 2nd round of the battle.

    now if this happens in the future (as we do the same thing and assume your ools as what we think is best to save time) the defender can have the knowledge of what the outcome was and decide if they got lucky to keep the battle or reroll from the point where the mistake was made.

    i assume you are going to go for the 2nd round, but hope you dont
