New Computer after 6 years! Good to see someone else who runs them into the ground. I kept my Dell D600 on the road for something like 6 years after buying it refurbished for $500. I added RAM and a wireless pcmcia card (yes it was so old they didn’t all come with wireless) , replaced the CD drive with DVD when it wore out, and I replaced the hard drive with a bigger one when it wore out. I replaced the keyboard when it wore out, which was fun because i had to take it all apart to do it. All this stuff came from Ebay. Last summer the screen finally wore out so I broke down and bought a new fancy Acer at walmart for $400.
Never got around to setting up the new computer, so I guess I’ll be doing it from work. :-D
