Ha, Napoleonic Empires was a new experience for me, so it would have been tough :) with 270 bc to be honest, I have quite significant experience, I used to play it a lot once.
If you have any side preference, you can choose. BTW - Im on the lobby for another hour or 2 - if you have time now, we could start it off.

The problem is, that you are experienced in all tournament maps except Napoleonic Empires :-)
In my very first game I played Roman Alliance, so it’s now time to switch sides and play Carthage.
Any other wishes? I can use your email from the NWO tournament.
And I think I should play pbem to have at least a tiny chance to tease you :-D
-
No problem with that at all. I await your first turn then.

You are right about it. I just forgot to move to include the hoplite from Corinth into my calculations. Otherwise I would have done it. even if I wouldnt take it, I would get it the turn after.
-
I could probably manage to barely hold it next rounds if it held.
But if you won, Greece would be in pretty hopeless position.

But if you won, Greece would be in pretty hopeless position.
Ok, I will mark today as the day I nearly beat Ajmdemen :-D
But it wouldnt have been fair. If you can destroy a nation in round one with the natural move, the map has a big flaw. It would have only been the exploit of a design bug. But you shouldnt count on me not recognising the next chance. Sometimes even I notice chances :-)

out of curiosity ajmdemen, how in hell was that not balanced?
especially because this game is default to dice, not LL, which means most people can not do that little retreat move into athens like you just did (ie: they might get screwed by good OR bad dice, and stuck in corinth) -
I should have put the Roman unit in Athens, but still it is the first time Ive seen such results (its about 5% to happen, so not so low though).
I think the map is balanced around LL. On the other hand playing seleucs should be harder with setting dice instead of LL, which could compensate somewhat for more problematic greek opening
