It turns out I am an idiot. I thought I only had 2 German planes in Southern Italy (1 fighter and 1 tactical). When I saw the tactical still alive at the beginning of my turn I assumed it survived the battle in sz 97 and that you took the Italian fighter off. That’s where my message and subsequent editing came in. This of course could have easily been avoided if I checked the history instead of assuming (again, I apologize, I am an idiot).
Please edit back the German tac bomber and remove an Italian fighter.
Since this is my fault completely, I won’t change my purchase. I don’t think this changes anything combat wise. With one less fighter I would have attacked sz 96 with 1 dd and 1 bomber. Since both of these units hit in combat (and the fighter missed) everything should be ok.
Again, since this was my mistake, I am more than willing to give the sz96 battle another go with the correct units. Entirely up to you.

Not sure if I dont get the cance to intercept just because you later bomb the airfield. You certain? Had this before I think but cant remember.
And if not certain, there is a French fighter that could at least be asked. -
I’m sorry, I usually ask. You definitely could have scrambled. I assumed you wouldn’t want to risk 1 vs 4 in the air battle and certain death in the water battle.
