• I think I like your attitude  :-)

  • @wittmann:

Thanks Noll. Thought you would have my back.
Remind me though: aren’t you the enemy!

Thank you for your time Moilami. I was stumped. (Am not a computer knowledgable person.)
And Cheating? I don’t think so. Surely we are all gentlemen here.
Except those revolutionary French rabble of course. Damn them to hell!

Yes Wittiman, I love you too  :-D

  • Players are:

    1. Stalingradski - uk
    2. Wittman - prussia
    3. Noll - france
    4. Process - Ottomans
    5. Moilami - Austria
    6. JWW - Russia
    7. Make_It_Round - Spain
    8. Kabloom - Sweden

Have 1 day for your wild PMing guys :) Tomorrow I will start French politics. Check the map for the starting political situation.

  • Start already with your politics, France, if you are done with them so that we can get the game move forward

  • I have played an hour now and think I have a good idea of the mechanics of the game. One question: I made 4 ground Reinforcements and I could only place 3 on my General. Is that the limit?
    Thank you.

  • The general is a portable encampment: it only produces a # of units equivalent to the territory its standing on, assuming you’ve owned that territory since the beginning of the turn.

A general is like a portable factory.

Territory limits are in use for building with a general. That is, you can build number of units up to the territory value with your general. So, if production in Berlin is 3, then you can build maximum of three units per turn to Berlin with your general.

Note that you can move your general too before you build, and if the zone where you moved your general was owned by you at the beginning of your turn, then you can build units into that zone.

Note also that generals can be captured by the enemy. The only time when they are not captured by winner of a battle is during Naval battles. Generals die there. Hence you can avoid capture of a general by moving it into a ship.

  • A note to everyone: You can build encampments (factories) on any zone you controlled at the beginning of your turn. You don’t need a general to build encampment.

  • Thank you Moilami. Does that limit count for the capital too?

  • @wittmann:

    Yeah.

Also, say, you have in Berlin an encampment and a general. Production (territory value) in Berlin is 3. So you can only build 3 units to Berlin, even though you have an encampment and a general there.

  • Not wanting to ruin the game for people but imagine an alliance between UK and France  :-D

I would be curious to see how far that goes.

  • Moilami is already planning everything against Boll what a dejavu :D

  • Ok guys, here’s the political rules I’d like to enforce in this game.

POLITICS must be played in playing order, this means france talks first (so they’re predictable) and Russia talks last (so they’re subdle!)

Bold all your political announcements like:

    Austria declares war on Russia!!

When you ask for a political upgrade like from WAR to CEASEFIRE or from CEASEFIRE to OPEN BORDERS or from OPEN BORDERS to ALLIANCE, the nations you asked must REPLY with a YES or NO before the political turn goes on.

  • Sounds good.

  • France political round#1

France propose OPEN BORDERS to Spain (Make_It_Round)
France propose CEASEFIRE to the Kingdom of Prussia (Wittman)
France propose CEASEFIRE to the great Ottoman Empire (process)
France propose CEASEFIRE to the empire of Russia (JWW)

After those 4 players answered me, UK goes next with his political proposals.

  • Hmm, just thinking. One should be able to propose politics one by one and not all at once.

  • @moilami:

    Let’s follow the game rules.

  • We accept the open borders proposal from France.  :-)

    Let’s follow the game rules.

There is no rules which say you should declare all politics at once.

The game mechanics however allow you to make proposals only one at a time. You propose something and get the answer BEFORE you can make your next proposal.
