  • I just noticed we should have gotten the 5 ICP for having no allied surface warships in the med. I think I read in the manual that transports don’t count as warships. It seems triplea doesn’t acknowledge it like that. I think I’m going to write a PN to Veqryn and find out if this is intentional. I’ll come back to you once I have an answer.


  • So Veqrin says that Italy should have gotten the NO. Apparently the UK inf in the seazone cause it to bug. Here’s a copy of the PM from him:

    it is the infantry that stop it from going through

    i guess noone has ever caught that bug before because everyone offloads infantry before the end of their turn
    (so it was only caught once you used uk inf on a non-uk transport)

    anyway, i’ll fix in the next version

    until then, watch for it and give yourself +5

    So I would like to edit in those 5 ICP extra for Italy. If you’d rather have kept the BB to prevent the NO until next round let us know. Though it’s a similar situation than the one before where you had to decide it before you saw you own defending dice succes in round 2 so it would probably be more consistent if we kept to your original OOL.

  • Hmm… You could have hit maybe one unit more and we could have hit one or 2 less. Germany would still be able to finish the job not just so cheaply and you could have a slightly better chance to sink our fleet but it wouldn’t be cheap for you too I think. You can do ANZAC and France we’ll edit in the ICP during Germanys turn since it doesn’t matter when we do it as long as it is boefore Italys next turn. You can edit it in too though if you like.

  • I had done the batle calculator (like you, I assume  :-) ), and I had, on average 1.5 more unit left than the attacker + 3 TRN (meaning losing ALL units for Italy). Instead, you get away with 4 units (and an undammaged AC, so it’s like 5 units). That’s tough luck!

    That being said, dice is dice for everyone!

    That being said, dice is dice for everyone!

    The DD and carrier couldn’t participate in the battle because of range so those would have been there anyway. we had three survivors instead of 0-1 and you had 2 instead of I don’t know maybe 3-4. An attack on a carrier with 2 fighters and a dd with 4fighter and 1 tac could still have gone wrong and we could have sunk your surviving BB with 4fighter, 1tac of Germany anyway maybe even without losing anything. So yes we were lucky but not that much above average to really matter all that much.

    no teams have dropped from the tournament at the end of xdap round 3.
    assuming the 4 teams yet to start their round 4 games do so in the next couple of days, there will be no re-alignment of the bracket.

    with no re-alignment, the winner of this game gets a buy in round 4 so this game does not need to go to a decision. you would then have almost a 2 month extension.

  • My comment was more aimed at Questioneer. While you did post you sides fast enough after a bit of nudging he has made us wait so long in practically every round of Russia since the start of the game not just during the holidays so I apologize to you if you felt offended it was aimed at somebody else.
