Lord Nelson has been reporting on the efforts to pin down the French fleet and defeat it.  His Majesty’s government is looking forward to the upcoming battle reports against France and Austria.  Lord Nollington is rumored to be hosting a reception for the Bourbon exiles as well as the Turkish and Russian ambassadors.  We would be very receptive to any proposals of improved relationships with those countries.

Lord Nelson reports that sadly many signals regarding the importance of gunnery practice were apparently misread as gin and rye practice.  Court martials of the pickled fleets will not be necessary as they were dispatched by much more efficient but perhaps less happy sober french fleets.

I think, if we all want to do this again after, finding three other players to join in shouldn’t be that hard… I also think that 8-player diplomacy would be much more dynamic and interesting. Not that this isn’t… Good practice, at least. :-D

Yeah, dunno, I am more like an extremist. I like complex systems. For me it feels like 8 player or no way.

And yeah, this is good practise. I haven’t yet even played 10 games of TripleA, so every game is good practise for me lol.

His Majesty’s government has prevailed upon Lord Nelson to issue clear guidance to all admirals that rum may not be issued to sailors until after gunnery practice each day.  Daily gunnery practice will continue until morale improves.  Hopefully the improved gunnery will allow the war against France and Austria to be carried out more successfully.  There are some concerns about the size of other empires but any changes in policy will have to await several seasons of campaigning.
