The sub can move into the sea zone but can not move through the sea zone. I asked the question in the rules section and Yoshi confirmed.
Is it legal to move a Sub into a sea zone with a hostile destroyer during non-combat movement phase in AA50?
yes it is ; the dd stops the movement, but does not forbid it (see the submarine movement description page 30 of the book)
This is on page 30:
“Sub Movement: Units moving into a sea zone containing an enemy submarine ignore that submarine for purposes of movement. Also, submarines treat hostile sea zones as if they were friendly for purposes of movement. However, if a submarine enters a sea zone containing an enemy destroyer, its movement ends immediately.”

I did not think you were going to attack India this turn taking quite a risk and putting at stake your fighters. Seeing the result even this one was a very successful move.
I am the one who has to be very aggressive now, counting on good luck to invert the course of the war. In fact, after this Japanese turn I don’t think I have more then 5% to win.
