    I think you should have stated “wanted to” change Anzac buy.

    I know in the 41 league a change like this wouldn’t be allowed. I haven’t looked at the map or anything and because I am new to this league and just playing for fun I am not going to ask you to change it back.

    According to the rulebook, you can never go back to a previous phase once you’ve started a subsequent one.

    Online protocol is normally that players allow other players to change things retroactively as long as no dice have been rolled, but strictly speaking, no-one ever has to allow any “backsies” because they are all against the rules.

    So no, a player can never alter a purchase once they start making combat (or if none, noncombat) moves, because as soon as they move something they’re no longer in the purchase phase.

    But again, online courtesy (which no player is obligated to extend) is to allow

    Good, question, I suppose it would depend on whether you think the tide of the game is with you.  If it is, then if you attack and get bad dice then you will have given the US and opening.  If the tide is against you, risks should be taken.

    At least that’s how I always try to think about it.

    I’d say Japan looks pretty good in terms of its long term position….
