Hmmmm……nah.  I think I would prefer to reserve that reward for giving to the top players as a benefit to letting me win next year!  :wink:

Yes, that is a bracket.  Winners go on to play winners.  I did not pay any respect to standing other than who was, and was not, in the top 8.  Next year, I think, we agreed that the top player would play the 5th best player, second best plays 6th, etc.

As for next year, it could also be done like Nr 1 against Nr 8, 2 against 7 and so forth, or just pooling 1 to 4 and 5 to 8. Just a suggestion, nothing new of course and there is rationale for all ways to seed.

And wouldnt Round Robin be fun, in case we have two years or so for play-offs :)

What a pity! Why quit? you are one of the best players in the forum. Probably the best.

Thanks for the vote of confidence but I can guarantee you i’m not the best player on here, I think I only played 1 top ten opponent and lost handily.  I know this playoff will stretch across the holidays and I don’t want to have to play regularly during that time.

Historically the playoffs have no cutoff date.  In theory they could continue on well into the next year’s season.  Personally, I would prefer to have the games completed and a champion crowned before Valentine’s Day!  (Preferably sooner.)

OK, the league playoffs are set to begin this weekend, and I’m not sure who all is here and ready to play.
It will help Jennifer and I tremendously if you would now signify that you are here and that you are wanting to play in the playoffs.  This is applicable for all who have signed up for the additional playoffs, and to the 8 who qualify for the league playoff for the championship.

I was wondering where you were, but could only wait so long.  We did have players signed up who then didn’t show, so I couldn’t just assume people were in - I needed to get brackets done.

bold is on a 1 week vacation right now, but you would probably get a response from him within days.
