I knew it was pretty much going to wipe out the Frenchies, but I figured killing two Italian field armies would really ratchet the pressure on you. Especially since the Americans are in the med and splitting your purchases. I don’t know if it was a good decision or not, but I guess we’ll see.

Ya I really don’t seem to know what I am doing with the Italians.  Or the Finns for that matter.
I’m good at the economy side of the game so far, but at tactics for this map I haven’t really got a clue.

I didn’t know what I was doing with UK to start the game. I think I NOW know what I needed to do with the Brits early, but that doesn’t help me much for this game.

And I think Italy might have spent too much on Navy . . . or at least too much on boats for one side of the med. Granted, neither of the allies’ fleet could stand up your consolidated Italian fleet 1 on 1 so you could be a bully if you wanted to.

I talked to ‘ice’ on the lobby the other day (he is the resident expert on the game), and found out that italy is actually supposed to defend the gates to the med by gibraltar, possibly with some german air landing on carriers to help out.  apparently italy can hold out 6-8 rounds against usa and uk there.  this is in addition to also building a greek fleet, and also conquering north africa, madrid, greece, and then fighting with uk for ankara. 
my attempt to defend the gates to the med involved me miscalculating how far a fighter could reach, and misinterpreting what sea zones connected, and then losing basically everything there…
so after that i figured I’d try to ‘overbuild’ the greek fleet and kill yours.  its too bad you can place blockers and crap forever down there, dancing around.

My biggest goof was missing two early fighters in Le Havre and two ME262s in Paris. That blunder cost me the channel fleet. And the first American reinforcements were right there in the next seazone! :|

And throwing out blockers and dancing may have kept the Brit Med fleet alive . …  but it’s on life support. Not being able to build units for it and having to throw blockers have made it a sad shadow of it’s former self. You had too many countries who could’ve blown my blockers out of the water to let Italy strike me, so I had to detach multiple ships each time instead of just a blocker here or there.
