Scramble to Taranto?
No scramble
13L G40.2 Jeff28 (Axis) vs. Kabloom (Allies +8) rematch Jeff28 wins
Once again Jeff28 stomps me into grapes. My good luck? I cannot play him again this season in a league game! :)
Global 40.2: Jeff28 (Allies +10) defeats MiamiUMike (Axis)
Of course, I meant to say stomps me LIKE a grape… LOL
Better than stomping you ON your grapes… ;)
Fortress as Allies defeats MiamiUMike as Axis in round 2.
GG to Fortress - if you want to pkay a high quality opponent who is also a lot of fun to play, Fotress is your opponent :)

Will be taking a long break from the game - need to recapture the reason I played in the first place….
Thanks, Mike – but anybody looks like a good player when their opponent flies into a 1-in-7776 chance of 5-5 AA gun hits.
Mike,
Don’t forget it’s just a game and have fun with it. :-D

Wow. Yahtzee.
For those too lazy to go look and see what happened -
Miami did an SBR on the UK with 2 bombers and 3 tacs, and every single one of them got shot down by AA.
I’ve lost 4/5 air to AA on simultaneous raids (which was all 5 of my aircraft) but never 5/5. It’s devastating.
As Fortress said, it is a 1 in 7,776 chance.
Once in a while the dice will win or lose the game for you and there’s absolutely nothing you can do about it.
Re-capture those reasons you started playing in the first place, Mike, and flush these memories from the ol’ memory banks! If you play enough A&A, things like this inevitably happen - it’s the law of averages
Maybe go read a thread about bad luck dice, or start a new one - those are always fun and maybe it will be therapeutic :-)
One of my early games on this site, years ago, I attacked 3 tanks with 13 of my own. In round 1, I missed with all 13 of my tanks, and he hit with all 3 of his. Now this wasn’t devastating to me, as order was restored in round 2, but freaky things can happen with dice. It’s actually the unpredictability and unreliability of the dice that is a big part of the beauty of this game….
By the way, the chance of 16 50/50’s all going the wrong way at once is
2^16 = 65,536
I swear the TrippeA “random” number generator will spit out 1’s any time its an AA gun or lone sub defending… subs always seem to hit on defense!
Sounds like it’s got in your head, Karl!
Paranoia will destroy ya!
TrippleA does terrorize me…

Long game, Germany finally takes London for win.
Bid was +11 for Allies for game above
It’s all good - I’ve been playing A&A for almost 30 years now, so I know all about what the dice can and will do. I can say though that I have never seen what I saw today before. I mean, how much fun can it be to lose - or for that matter win - with that kind of result?
I am sure at some point I will come back - the guys on the site are great and I will miss some of the lively discussions. But - there comes a point when you just have to step away because you start to feel that win or lose, it just isn’t all that much fun….I’d rather take a break and have a chance to get back into it than continue and want to not play again period.

Couldn’t tell who won by your posts Karl!
17 rounder, eh? Brought to you by the same company that brought us multiple 50 round AA50 games…
