If you like “The Hot Zone”, then make sure you read Invisible Invaders by Peter Radetsky (i think the subtitle is “the scientists who persue them”).

of course it is TG. That’s like saying “Moby Dick” is predictible, or “Twelth Night”, or just about any ground breaking novel that has since become a cliche, especially one that is so allegorical and insightful.
