With nearly 50/50 odds and 60 IPC’s which is the most UK could ever have after round 2, practically, I kind of had to try it. Germany would have way over 100 IPC’s if successful on G2, so I had to try that.

Sealion is an abject failure. My instincts said not to try it, but you have to in that situation. Even a 1 round hit and run might have been effective if you had played it conservatively, but once again JWW gambles and wins (I recall a certain infantry attacking and taking out a fighter early in a game)
Now the UK will be storming like you wouldn’t believe and I’ll be hanging on for dear life for several rounds. Sigh. -

But you misunderstood me. I was only referring to the gamble of taking off infantry, artillery, tank before bombers.
I would have probably done the same.
