@Curtmungus your honor of being more famous than me is quite deserved. I salute you.
True or False

Oh and don’t worry team…. Â
I learned about two inherent values I had a long time ago.
1. Self-Righteousness (YEAH!)
2. Humility (Yes, It’s my fault… so what?)How people get offended is something I have a really hard time understanding… but something I certainly enjoy watching. (Because at the end of the day it’s a reaction they CHOOSE to have, and says so much about them.)
So all of the banter, garbage, and hate spewing towards me, mostly adds to my enjoyment of the event, as well as others I can see… ;)
Asshat is my new favourite word
With that said - today I was INSPIRED by all of you good people, and I have a new and exciting idea for AA.org, that’s going to provide all the LOL’s we’re ever going to need…
:-D  :-D   :-D  :-D  -
As someone one who’s had the enjoyment of fighting you to the death, in full uniform, on a tank (there a pictures, I can prove this happened!) I can say that these statements are false. If you need to change or work on anything it’s on getting a new uniform (come to the dark side, we have cookies, and better boots!) so we can goof around like that next year :-D

@JWW:
had to vote true on the POLL to even things out and give myself a laugh.
GREAT post by CWO Marc. Well thought out, well written, was clear and concise. If I were grading it I would give it a solid A. No pun intended.
It seems quite obvious that there are very thinned skinned folks out there, really no place for a villain, prankster or joker. I find your sometimes over the top humor funny but I am an unsympathetic, unempathetic, btd who really doesn’t care to much for others feelings.
Ditto on all JWW (and CWO Marc) said.
They also said it very well.I will add that the typed word can be the most difficult form of communication because it is the hardest to tell ones tone. In person, I could read your voice inflection or your face or hand gestures to tell when you are being sarcastic. The typed word, notsomuch.
I have always contended that the internet needs a new font called ‘SARCASM’. Apparently, after a very quick google search, I find I am not alone in that way of thinking: http://glennmcanally.com/sarcastic/
good gaming!

Below are some “Anonymous” comments and observations I have be graced with via PM recently.
Apparently this person speaks for everyone? And as the commentary has essentially been condoned, it’s only reasonable that I must consider them validated - and that I must give these thoughts the oppurtunity for public review that they deserve.
Obviously, if these notes are correct, I need to make some cultural adjustments to the nature of my existence on aa.org, and post less etc, but I would like to hear what the fans of the site think?
-
you are a real idiot self-hating internet troll…you call this “villain” but everybody calls this asshat.
-
you are a troll decide to cause problems.
-
you are a moron.
-
you obviously had a bad day so go back to the punching bag in your back yard.
-
looking at your posts it appears you ran out of ideas on how to keep your post count up since that is great concern for you.
-
90% of your posts are just stupid gibberish random “comedy jokes” that people get tired of because they don’t add to conversation. If you got nothing to say why even post? Just look at all your posts…nonsense and inane drivel.
(This one is particularily important to hear from you guys on. :) ~ Garg) -
You might want to take your own medicine now.
-
YOU ARE FULL OF ( AS USUAL)
-
YOU ONLY DO THIS BULLSHIT BECAUSE YOUR PISSED OFF AT ME BECAUSE YOU ARE A LOSER
-
YOU ARE A POST COUNT b, BASICALLY YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY SO YOU POST 30 TIMES WITH STUPID GIBBERISH ‘FUNNY’S’ POSTS THAT NOBODY REALLY NEEDS TO WASTE THEIR TIME READING.
As you guys all know, I’m always open to criticism and harsh words, so the gloves are off, please provide your own commentary. :D
Gargantua,
I think the above words would describe my general feeling when I started reading your posts. Your comments can be rude, off topic, useless and borderline trolling.
But I realized that you’re just playing the role of the joker, which by its own nature has that affect on some people and I just took you more lightly and realized that there was actually an intelligent and creative person instead of a complete moron.
But yeah, with that kind of attitude you step on some toes. So yes, I think it’s true: you can be like that to people on a first sight. :) -

First, allow me to preface by saying thank you Garg for being as you are if only so that I got some good laughs from these comments. Specifically:
- you are a real idiot self-hating internet troll…
Can somebody please find a picture of an idiot self-hating internet troll? I really want to see one and maybe have it as a pet. Hahaha what an awesome description!
you call this “villain” but everybody calls this asshat.
Got to be my new favorite word, probably because it sounds stupid and makes little sense. Again genius!
Can whoever sent you this message send me one too so I can get some hilarious descriptions of my Axisandallies.org personality type?!

I never heard the term “asshat” before so I looked it up and this is what I found.

Thanks Axis_Roll this is nearly perfect. Have to say i think Garg would fit into number 1: Rabid Flamer
“This guy likes to make trouble for his own amusement. If nothing particularly nasty is going on, he’ll whip out his flamethrower and burn everyone in his path, especially denizens of parenting or pets chat rooms.”
Not exact, but closer than the others.

More than one. I’d say Rabid Flamer, Never-Give-Up, Never-Surrender, Self-Feeding and the Expert
Wait. I think I kinda can also fall into all of those categories… :-D

Had to throw this in too… mostly because it uses a Lord of the Rings troll.
Don’t feed the trolls.

I hadn’t planned to provide other comments beyond my post from yesterday, but this remark caught my eye and I’d like to say something about it. Yes, it’s true that people are responsible for their reactions to statements made by other individuals…but this argument shouldn’t be used to imply that no responsibility is carried by the individuals making those statements in the first place. To use an analogy from the world of sports, consider a situation in which a hockey player from Team A keeps shouldering a player from Team B in ways which are on the borderline between a legal check and an illegal move. Players sometimes do this in order to provoke the other guy into retaliating and (hopefully) drawing a penalty. Is Player B responsible for his actions if he retaliates? Yes. But Player A is resposible too because his goading is what initiated the situation in the first place. It would be disingenous of him to say that he can’t understand Player B’s actions, or to claim that Player B bears sole responsibility for what happened.

Yes Marc - it is disingenous, and it is ambiguous too. But it’s what must be done to draw the penalty no? and that’s hockety isn’t it? ;) Everyone -chooses- to play the game. :D
This reminds me of the Rubbing is Racing scene in Days of Thunder.

If player B had chose to keep their cool, then player A will get the penalty. This is the law of physics, throw a baseball at a glass window, and the window shatters… throw a baseball at a concrete wall, and it might come back and hit you in the face.
:D

I think Marc is right to have been offended. You don’t call someone a liar like you did.
We are all friends. You overstepped that time.
