Your percentages?

NEW GUY QUESTION: While reading these boards I keep seeing “that’s a 30%” or “I wouldn’t attack unless I had a 60%” - how are you arriving at these percentages and what exactly do they mean?

There are ALOT of battle calculators on the internet you can use to calculate the % to win/lose a battle.

TripleA has one built right in.

But basically it’s like this:

My 1 artillery, attacks your 1 infantry.  I have a 33% to win, killing you, 33% chance to both end up dead, and 33% chance to lose.

I might argue I only have to kill your unit, so i have a 66% chance of accomplishing that, depending on the situation, but you catch the drift.

The % is simply your statistical chance to win/lose a fight, but in much more detail.
