    Question about spending build money: do you have to buy new units, or are you allowed to “upgrade” them also?

    you can only build new units. you may not upgrade existing units.

  • Also, I think you are usually only allowed to put your extra bid units in territories where you already have at least 1 unit, and you can’t put them in Chinese controlled territories. Not sure if those rules apply to this tournament though.

    You could always put stuff on territories you control that don’t have units ie blank spaces in africa. But in the water it has to go where you have units.

    Another question, are you allowed to bank the IPC’s and give them to a country to spent turn 1?

    I probably shouldn’t ask, but how high were you willing to go to get axis?

    I should also let you know, since me and my brother use the same computer for this, sometimes his turn will be posted with my account, and my turns with his. This just means that we were to lazy to sign out and back in, not that one of us has dropped the game.

  • No, use bid on units only, no saving money.  All left over money is gone.  You must put them on seazones/territories where units already exist at the starting setup.  That’s how I’ve always been known to play.

    Alot of tournaments ban that feature - which I think is stupid.  It’s usually an effort to prevent Japan from building an extra transport J1 - depending on the game.
