So I can understand the confusion. But you can only place a major in an originally ‘owned’ terr with 3+ IPCs. You only control Kiangsu and it’ll revert to Chinese control should any allied force liberate it. The only terr Japan can place a major on is Korea.
If that radically affects your plans, you can redo your entire turn or you could just buy 2 minors and keep the difference. Let me know how you want to proceed.

I just got off the phone with Mababa. He’s indicated that, in exchange for the major factory in Kiangsu, he’ll take a minor factory in Kiangsu, a minor factory in Shantung, and the rest in change.
It appears the Soviet Union did not choose a theme song for its fourth turn. I’ve heard a rumor that the theme song for USSR_4 is this. ;)

Also, Bader(watch the clip) was a real amputee fighter ace in WWII and I’ve read ‘Reach for the Sky’ which told his story and it’s pretty amazing. My favorite quote
