  • In support of Gargantua’s campaign against a certain moderator I changed my picture to something else and afterward I realized that I lost my picture of Legoman and i was too lazy to look for it again.  He is somewhere on the internet.  Then I was feeling all pissed off about democracy and stuff so I changed to the 99%, which also has a double meaning for those who use an odds calculator (ie don’t count your chicken before the hatch kind of thing).

  • I have a different OOL for z98.  In round 2 of that battle I lose the tac instead of taking the second hit on the carrier.  So I took off the tac and added back the carrier (which is actually damaged just in case you want to attack it with Germany), and adjusted Italy’s IPCs -5 for not having cleared the medit.

  • Yeah unfortunately you can’t add damage with this version of TripleA (You can in the newer version he has out but you cant switch to the newer version once you’ve started a game using the old version).  So what I did here was changed the damaged carrier into a destroyer so it will defend @2 if Germany attacks it.  If you attack it and by some miracle it survives I will change it back into a carrier on UK’s turn and repair it with the naval base.  OOL will be french destroyer dies then the damaged carrier (destroyer).

  • BTW I’m not complaining but I noticed something and I think you might not be aware of this issue so I will raise it.  Just so you know, anytime you reroll something the other side can see the original dice rolls from the marti server in their email account.  For instance, at 9:47 you rolled 4, 4, 3 for your fighter, bomber and tac in z98 (2 hits) and then at 9:55 you rolled 1, 3, 2 (3 hits).  Either way you sunk both ships so 2 or 3 hits makes no difference.  I know you are just getting the hang of TripleA and you probably redid your move because you made some mistake and couldn’t go back (sadly there is no “Back” button!).  I had to do that a bunch of times too in my first tries with TripleA.  This is just a practice game so no big deal, but in a league or tournament game (or even some “friendly” games) if you make even an honest mistake and have to re-do something the other side will start shitting bricks all over the place.  I find that people sometimes start to get very particular when they are losing LOL.  Anyway if that ever happens in a game with high stakes the thing to do will be to use Edit to add or remove units according to the first dice that were cast.  No worries.  :-)

    Hey I just chimed in on the Global 1940 rules FAQ with a loophole question maybe you could help me out with.  Its about what happens if Russia attacks strict neutral Turkey or Sweden while Russia is still not at war with the axis.
