if india runs… oh man.
-
Of course India’s going to run - you have 99.99% chance of annihilating with minimal losses.
You’ve played this game many times - is it that unusual to see Germany and Japan get to this point around round 8? I would think this is pretty typical. -

infThis would only cost 61 and you had 71.
Then you placed artillery you didn’t say you bought. And 2 subs, I think. And you placed 2 artillery, not 1.
So you can afford everything but the second artillery, if the missing 10 was for an artillery and a sub. -
Time to start meditating
Or was it contemplating
Probably should do both :-)Let me know about the extra art - you will probably want to change something else so your transports in 6 and 36 could each be fully loaded

bah, my screw up. It was late last night and I think I wrote out an incomplete scenario from my notes.
The right notes show it should have been

Yes, it sounds like you’re putting the infantry from Hong Kong in Japan, which is kind of what I thought you’d want, so yes it makes sense. Â I’ll check your map too
-
Yeah, it looks like that’s all you did, so our maps match now and we can go forward

Well, I’m playing what I would call a very conventional axis game, so my position is pretty typical. The more fashionable strategies I’ve seen emphasize sealion, india crush, or Middle east blitz. These can be successful but often leaves the USSR too strong or Japan open to getting killed by the US.
No, India should run. I was being facetious. It just will be a headache for me having those units reinforcing the Middle East, stopping the German run for oil, particularly if you build some miIC’s in Egyp/Irq.
-
You’re giving me too many ideas! Hehe you’re probably feel sorry for me being a rookie at this game…
Wait, you want me to build in the middle east because you’ll take them over. Nice try, again.
Build more offense for Russia, etc etc - nice gamesmanship
Whatever you do, please don’t throw me in that briar patch!Yes, the India stack will probably meet you in the middle east and/or help out Russia from the east, but the Japs will be right behind, and can start building in India
I’m glad you’re playing conventional - good experience for me.
Even if I only get to build once with France, that’s gonna be very satisfying -
I have wondered for the past 2 years since Europe 1940 came out what a conventional, strong and deliberate push into Russia by the Germans would look like, and this is the very first time I’ve been able to see it. So I’m really glad I am playing this game with you.
I’ve also never seen the Allies land on Europe or really get into the Mediterranean. Yeah I haven’t seen too much having never really got past round 4 or 5.But our Pacific theater feels a LOT like P40, which I did play several times, and sometimes more than 10 rounds. Which is cool. So yeah, I like facing the conventional but quite solid Axis strats at long last.
And I definitely like Alpha3 the best so far, although of course we all have things we wish we could change in the rules.

Ha. Internet working so will checking in
