I’m not 100% sure you can do that: amphibious assaut in sz44, with just a lone transport while an ennemy sub is there. I think a surface warship must be there at the begining of combat move phase.

I’m going to ask it in the FAQ and hopefully Krieg or Gamerman or Kcdzim can enlighten us.

Meanwhile, i’m going to proceed with Italy, since Celeb battle doesn’t have anything to do with the situation in Europe board.

i can ignore transports, they dont make a sea zone hostile and they got rid of the pot shot rule.  but go ahead and check.

I think this is the only time where a sub can block an amphibious assaut: lone transport, and no ally surface warship at any time in the zone. I’ve ask on the FAQ and we’ll see.
