I used to speak Spanish and Russian fluently. I know a few line of Irish, but need to work on those. I am trying to learn some Chinese (HARD.)
Not having much chance to practice any of these with a live human instructor a lot, I am not making much headway.

Learning Chinese is hard, but you should stick with it and sooner or later you will get the hang of it! ^_^

I never learn anything in “Americans”, but i understand what you are saying pretty well…
Americans are speaking english, just like Congolese are speaking French (mostly). Same words, same structure, only some minor distinction but not enough to say it’s a new language.
