    japan 2nd combat move did not ask if usa wanted to scramble from guam, which would have been way better. japan only brought 1 cruiser into sz21.

    that usa fighter could have turned the war, you guys should start over from that point.

    I wasnt playing Japan myself, Mayday was a new player (in fact he even lost 2 Japanese fleet early in the game)

    I am joking noll. I think it is funny for a 12 round game to be scrapped and go back to round 2.

    We should all just make it a habit to review our turns on the history option every round.

  • Yeah you dont have many chances in Euro with those heavy Usa ipcs spent there. So I was trying to favor a pacific win by luring you in spending more ipcs euro side.

    Let’s remember that the point of the tournament is to get new players like Mayday (and me) to try playing Global online with tripleA.  He did make some mistakes but he also did manage to take India and throw a wrench into Russia’s income so that’s not bad at all for someone new.

    In Global I find that the axis side usually wins if the allies make a mistake; the axis can make all kinds of mistakes but the allies only win if they play every card perfectly.  The mistake in this game happened when we took Java but failed to defend New Guinea, which allowed Japan to kill our fleet AND take New Guinea at the same time, thereby denying us a landing spot for a counter airstrike.  Oh well live and learn.  I think we did some pretty good stuff in the Mediterranean and Eastern front.

  • This is the first “team” game I’ve played and I really like it a lot.  I would definitely be open to playing a “team” Global or 42 game in the future.
