  • I meant with my second message, that there should be no scramble at all, because its not worth it if I go intercepting with 2 fighters. Now I realize that you could have misunderstoof the message to mean what you did. Since I didn’t make clear what I really meant it’s up to you to decide if you take  my word for it and in keeping with my intent editing back my unitsas well as your losses from the planes or if you say I should have made myself clearer and everything stays as is.

    I tried to edit the saved game file after the end of I13 doing the following:
    A.  The Italian bomber attack on Gibraltar and intercept stays as is, so bomber was shot down after being intercepted
    B.  The attack on sea zone 92 would have been five italian submarines on one american destroyer, no fighters or tacs scrambled to help defend.  I edited back in 1 tac to Gibralatar, two fighter and one tac back to spain, and one Italian submarine.  I already cleaned out my email for the day but I think the one hit came from the defending aircraft.  If you still have the email from the dice server, please check me on it.  The two fighters in Normandy I bumped to three fighters since I wouldn’t have taken any aircraft losses on the second round.

    Let me know if I messed up the editing or missed something else that should be edited.


  • You can just look up the dice rolls in the history. simply go game->show history and you can go back and forth through the whole game. and yes the destroyer didn’t hit at all so it’s correct that you keep your subs. Everything in your edit looks correct.

    I’ve run the cataclysmic battle in the Atlantic a couple of times now, it’s very loss order sensitive.  What order do you want to lose stuff in?

    Just to nit pick, you mean to scramble from Spain and Gibraltar with 4 fighters and two tac bombers?

    Alternately, is there a way to save after each round of combat so that you can choose the casualties?


  • Yes. After you have rolled the dice just select the “map” (you should have two triplea windows, one with the map one with the battle) and save normally. We may spit out an OOL before or after that.


  • Yes we want all planes scrambled. So 2Fighter, 1Tac each from Gibraltar and Spain.
    We will lose units in the following order:
    1)damage carrier
    2)sub
    3)destroyers
    4)lose 4 carriers(so try to keep 1)
    5)cruiser

    Don’t go after three countries at once  with Japan
    Don’t make stupid big stacks with Germany
    The dice hate both sides
    Big and balanced fleets matter
    You can never have too many ships guarding transports
    Avoid aircraft losses
    Etc.
