    yeah you got i think 4 hits on defense that round. I rolled average you rolled like a hit below average on defense in the first round… i wasn’t about to take any chances so i shucked my carrier away that first round, dd since you lost the subs, kept my cruiser because i could just lose a tactical anyway. after that i lost air since it was over.

    Rule #7 can only be enacted once per faction per game. I think that allies are fine anyway. Germany lost quite a bit on the seas, maybe not as much as I would’ve liked. It’s mostly why I decided on a sea defense, better to kill navy/air then ground pounders and maybe a couple of aa hits. Taking UK cost germany and all that cash going into the navy means ussr will be a pain for quite awhile. I just have to ensure Japan doesn’t get too crazy and the allies will do alright.

    No, last turn so I could’ve taken Finland this turn.

    japan looks simple enough to play though, drop a couple minors pump some naval out, take some islands, the end. Japan is fun. inf or figs to defend japan lalala. simple enough.

    There’s always a couple of those moments in the game. Like I realized after Italy went that I should’ve sent the US bomber to Brazil instead, could’ve given me better odds at sz110, especially if the russian sub had hit. As it is, odds aren’t good for me and I’ll probably pull back and consolidate.


  • You were right about one thing, I was baiting sea lion. I didn’t think you would try for it, but I knew it was an option if you wanted it. I guess we’ll see if that decision on my part was the right one.

    oh yeah the usa bomber for some reason I thought it could reach, but you would need the sub to hit and you would pass on 3 free transports just sitting there on a nice convoy spot for the ruskie sub.


  • I almost went for those transports with the sub, but figured I could kill them with US anyway. I’m surprised you didn’t land a fighter on scotland since you could build a fighter onto the cv. At the least it would’ve forced me to commit stuff with US if I did want it or helped defend sz110 since that would’ve meant the sub had to go sz109 and not potshot 110.
