Alright man, seriously, quit pulling my chain. You’re not playing me seriously. I don’t understand your German turn- giving me the free tts and cash along with some blocks.
:? :? :?
-
it is not free cash, you do lose a mech or tank if you take it. slight gain, but you will lose that unit for now and place your gain next round. it is not too bad.

your infantry had hot dice, guess things evened out. :)
-
if you attack japan or korea with surface naval ships i will roll kamikaze.
-
LOL
-
What is funny Vance? Still got 100% india for J4 and I should only lose AA gun casualties with average dice, unless something better comes along for me to attack.
-
as far as my air goes india j4 is still only a couple air to the aa gun, but I could get diced and lose maybe 4-5 air.
-
Cow, you do know that Kamikazes can’t hit transports or air units right? And surface ships can NCM into kamikaze zones?
-
I am more or less happy with novgorod g3. and some ruskie inf kills below in bessarabia and east poland for some reason.
As far as poland and hungary. tank is 6 ipc for 6 ipc, it rolls 3 on defense so 1.5 ipc for the defense roll the mech is 4 and gets 5 1 net with 1 ipc for defense roll. total 3.5 ipc gain, round up it is 4 ipc gain net (you can also just assume he gets 1 hit out of two defense rolls for 1 kill on defense and add +1 (income gain minus TUV lost)).
If this is my cost to get novgorod g3 and hold it, I am happy.
Also didn’t have enough air to sink the transport by UK, had to kill naval for italy. I suffered no losses there so I am happy.
This is a dice game though, defenders always have a chance at doing more than usual, I am not too worried about it though.
~
Yes, vance I am aware of what you said. I don’t really care, whatever usa sends there dies in the counter. -
I am saying this in case he takes 5% odds at Japan.
-
@Cow:

They always do in long dice type games like Axis and Allies. You just hope that you get Lucky Luck to come around at the RIGHT times.
All smack talk aside, I’m enjoying this game so far. This is only the 2nd time I’m seeing the G1/J1 gambits…very intriguing.
I guess if you wanna define this game, I would call it a test game b/c I’ve only played the latest Alpha about 8 times, though I’ve played the other versions several. I think it takes about 20-30 games or so to really settle in on an opening repitoure. So many defense to see and learn. Even in this game, I’m discovering new things to perfect Allied strategy. Should’ve dropped and IC on Egypt round 1 and of course the Sumatra thing was sloppy, but hey I’ll live with it.
However, since it is a test game for me, don’t hold back your best. G1/J1 is not optimal for you is it??? I thought you preferred G2/J2 as “standard”???

Yes, vance I am aware of what you said. I don’t really care, whatever usa sends there dies in the counter.Yes, I give up $10 in material to gain $11 plus a couple of key reinforcement blocks. Delay, delay, delay. $52- shoot, I might just buy me some bombers or a crap load of infantry and tanks. Gosh, if I would’ve known you were gonna do that I might have brought the 18inf home- worth it then- never get Moscow.
G1 gambit- push hard to Scandinavian cash, that’s why you came up north right??? I’m assuming so. Let’s see if it pays off. You got me thinking of other endevours now. Hmmm…
Yes whatever the USA sends to Korea will die in the counter. The problem is that the counter will keep China and India alive- more help to Russia- thank you very much. Unless there is a counter I don’t see, the Korea move is a tempo move that makes Japan pick a pill to swallow. Just wondering what pill you will choose…
Man my NCMs have been a little sloppy though. I don’t think I’ll play 8 games at a time again. I’ll should go down to 5.
Interesting game though. Turn later.
-
meh, J1 vs J2 has trade offs. Soulfein explained it in the proper thread.
I am doing really good and you don’t even realize this… which is kind of funny.
-
oh no I realize that. You give yourself waaaayy too credit- that’s what really funny. Love your confidence though- its cute.
-
just do your turn -.-
-
just shut your hole. :-D
-
It is cool, I was a mid tier player at global my first couple games, but after 30 or so games there is a big gap.
When the tournament begins watch soulfein and me, there are also a handful of others that are good in nwo, aa50, and other maps - not sure how much global experience they have yet… but yeah.
I play on the lobby mostly, I do my turns pretty fast, so you can get a good game in if you got 4-5 hours to kill.
you are also buying suboptimally as well, you bought a battleship as if you suspect I will use blockers so you will get to take advantage of that tilt, as if you need bombardments (1 kami roll stops all bombardments in the rules).
your complex was a major, i suspect you are not used to that yet.

That’s not news to me. :|

I might watch soulfein…definitely not you…and I really don’t care about the other maps…I used to play a lot of AA50 but I stopped once Pacific came out.

Actually, if its 4-5 hours on a Saturday night (EST)- maybe, but someone else would have to host the game…otherwise the TripleA PBF is really the best for me and probably for most. I would be open to live games under those conditions though.

Way ahead of you there chief, the BB was on purpose, but not for the reasons you suggust. Again, trying different stuff out. You’re just a lab rat.
your complex was a major, i suspect you are not used to that
True, this is only the 2nd time seeing the J1. Interesting for sure. I think I like the J2 better though but we’ll see. I believe I’m trying out the J1 and J2 in a couple of my other games. Undecided yet. It does beat the slow, boring J3/J4.
-
If you got time to talk like this, then you got time to play.
Do your moves then talk. I am not Jen, I don’t delete my own posts and repost to win an argument.
I give you advice, but you want to be the horse that refuses to drink. I can’t help you or talk to you, I have accepted this just now.
No more talk, just play.
