@Ol’:
Emperor Alexander I is very suspicious of all these “unofficial posts” about cease fires and open borders proposals. Money talks, and you know what walks! :-D
Let’s see some official political actions 8-)
Sadly we can’t save and post the game in the middle of political action.
Should we just assume any post here is an “official political action”?
If Austria offers Russia an open borders agreement, the cost is 2 PUs to Austria, even if Russia rejects it.
But, at least in “live online” games, the players talk about it in the “game chat” before making the offer. So it is rarely rejected, because Austria would not offer it is during the chat Russia says he will reject.
So…. how do you guys want to do this?
Option 1:
Assume all posts here are official political actions, meaning that if the offer is rejected we still “do” the political action and have the other side reject it (thereby showing up in the history panel as a reject offer, and also costing the offering party X IPCS)?
Unofficial talk can use “private messages”, but that isn’t as fun since we don’t all get to see the cross talk between players…
Option 2:
Assume all posts here are unofficial, and when playing we only “do” the actions that are accepted. Therefore noone loses any IPCs in vain.
If this way, Blood&Guts will have to respond with either a Yes or No to Austria’s offer.
I’m fine with either way. Option 2 seems more simple/easier for forum play.
(Sorry, I originally designed this game, and triplea’s play of it, for ‘live’ games, not play-by-forum/email. This is also actually my very first play by forum game too.)
