• yeah that’s a drag.  Another problem with taking FIC is that once japan takes it, if USA takes it back it become US territory until Paris is liberated.  Since it is a 2IPC territory it can also have an IC, which makes it one of the very few places USA can get production going on the mainland.  I also don’t like taking Normandy for the same reason (ie USA can land there later and start spitting out taks from it.

    Anyway I will move your units out of IC for you and add $8 to your IPCs and it will be like it didn’t happen.

  • In case you’re wondering why I would lose the bomber to save the cruiser in z96, havig a surface warship there and the destroyer in z99 blocks Italy from attacking Egypt this turn.  Also, if that bomber were to land in Malta it would be toast.  If you did not get a hit with your destroyer, I would have landed all 3 planes in Malta to protect the bomber.

    That UK move is called a “tobruk”.  There is another one called a “Taranto” where we attack z97 with everything we’ve got to try and make sure you don;t have enough transports to attack Egypt.  This time I didn;t have plaes to bring from UK for a taranto so I did the Tobruk.  the nice thing about tobruk is I get to save my carrier but you get to save your battleship.


  • As Italy right now you can make some big NO money if you can manage to take Greece and Gibraltar, and manage to clear the med of allied ships.  Tunisia, sudan and kenya are easy money (although Kenya is convoy raided by the french destroyer)

  • Nice work with Italy.  money bags!

    I will tell you a slick move in case you don’t know about it already.  If you attack Yugo with your mech and armor from france, and 1 infantry from Hungary, you can roll combat for just 1 round and if you don’t kill all the Yugos you can stop the battel and retreat to Hungary.  That little maneuver gets your tanks/mechs to move 3 spaces instead of 2.  I always like to save Yugo for the second round just for that.
