Also the nature of the game, axis win at certain VC opportunities, I do feel the burden falls on the axis to win, so you can easily fastforward a round for both sides to setup and then do an all in attack and defense for the VC to see who wins.

So we could make the burden fall on defending VCs, which is what the axis should be trying to go for. I am an aggressive player so I prefer a more objective oriented mechanism for determining a winner.

Plus judges can be very subjective. Fast forwarding and forcing the axis to attack for a VC makes more sense to me.

By live I mean tripleA, I don’t believe in axis and allies face to face tournaments @ 2 hours a game (just seems so silly to have only 4-5 rounds).

Then you have Axis players on the loosing side that still have a decent tuv compare but reaching the downfall playing half turn in 15 days and you wonder wtf.
During my turn I didnt bomb a factory in fear of having to wait 5 days for an intercept roll. Frustrating.

Yes, you are wrong.
Originally sides were randomized by forum dice roll.
Now most games teams bid for sides. If one team refuses to bid(not sure why anyone would be, if you don’t want to bid just bid zero) then sides are determined by random dice roll.
