Searching for a TripleA partner for Gargantua's tournament

Anyone out there who loves to play global but has not played via TripleA want to team up with me in Gargantua’s tournament?

WARNING I have only played global a handful of times and none with the “final” version

never played on line, would like to.  I have triple A loaded into this lap-top, I just need to figure out how to start a game with ya’ll
    So where do I start?

Me:  Global noob, TripleA vet:
You:  36-24-36 DD, likes feeding bunnies and long pogo-stick walks on the beach.

But more seriously - Garg mentioned 2-3 player teams, and specified at least one player on the team must be new to TripleA.  So what I’m looking for is someone fairly bright but still new to TripleA, and/or someone with godlike Global skills.

If you’re interested in finding a partner, other people will want to know your qualifications.  So if posting in this thread, probably best put down

1.  Are you TripleA noob?  (it’s good if you are)
2.  Are you Global noob?  (hopefully not, but if you are, you don’t have to lose a lot of sleep over it because probably the other entries will not be majorly competitive)
3.  Are you an Axis and Allies noob?  (really hopefully not, but if you can sing funny songs and/or have a webcam and a kitten, that goes a long way)
4.  Anything else you want to mention.

Scour the forums like an easter egg hunt… you’ll find some randoms,  (like MOST HOLY for example, or UNCRUSTABLE)  Get a rope on these guys, and pull them into your team! :P

I am tripleA challenged. I had to use the online help just to load the maps and when I pressed the PBEM button a box with a whole bunch of fields for e-mail addresses and such popped up which scared me so I closed it and never touched that button again. That should give a general idea of where I stand with tripleA.

I have also never played Global.But, I am solid with AA50, though.

So if you’re looking for a teammate that will weigh you down, I’m your man. Join me. Carry the team. You’ll look like a stud.

just keep trying until you get it to work.  Looks like we need a video.  :)  I’ll work on something as soon as possible, or if someone else can.

i’m interested too.

addicted G40 A3 ftf player, will play face to face games till i get the shakes (or till i think i might be pissing my wife off by coming home at 5 am) and i’ve dinked around with tripleA when the AA50 was the game to play but i have never played by forum/email but did play online witht eh AA50 long ago…so…am i a noob in search of a tripleA vet or am i just like an E-2 or something?

oh, yes, might need to have someone walk me through the play by email tab in the game…i had teh same reaction when the windo with all the email options and stuff popped up…i closed it cuzz i had no idea what to do with it (and was too lazy to read how to do it).

also…something i have wondered about playingg by email…how do i know that my enemy doesnt reroll all the battels until he (she) ets the results they want and than emails me for my turn?

I’ll sign up as tripleA veteran. I’ve played lots of AA50 but had about a year break and after I reconnected with aa.org I have (including still running games) played around ten games of global. A little less than a week ago I may have sneaked in as a tripleA newbie but at the moment I got three games going.

Btw in case I fails to latch on to a newbie, what exactly are the definition of a newbie?  :evil:

“newbie” is a maliable “guideline”.  As long the effort to include new"er" players is made, it’s all good.

Understanding the -spirit- of the concept of the tournament is what matters.  That’s explain under the PURPOSE of the tournment, where it is posted.

Since the idea was to get new players to play TripleA and I was allready hooked I deemed myself a non-newbie not so much due to experience but to level of attachment to triplea.  :-)
