Yeah, should’ve seen the AC blast…I expect to make a lot of mistakes since this is my first game in TripleA. The look and feel along with the functions will take me a while to get used to. One of the few complaints about it is that the zoom only works best at 100%. At times you need to look at the larger picture so you zoom out but then everything is hard to see- numbers of the pieces, differentiation between the pieces and the sea zone lines disappear- which is why I think I missed that move. That should’ve been pretty obvious.

Turn to follow in just a little bit. I was thinking just a little about maybe we shouldn’t just use the internal dice server. I started to do my turn earlier today and was just about done with the combat moves before rolling the dice and decided I just didn’t like what I was doing with the fleet/air. I usually don’t play Japan in our group games, and sometimes struggle on what to do for the first couple turns. So I exited out and got some stuff done around my home.
I wouldn’t do it and I’m not suggesting you would either*, but it’d be too easy for someone to redo the combat round until they got the results they wanted and no one would know it. Seeing as how this is a league game maybe we should have something to keep everything kosher. And I’d suggest you do the same thing in your other league games so you don’t get diced by someone with a win at all costs mentality. I’ve already created a throwaway email and registered myself on dice.tripleawarclub.org for another league game.

Mistergreen just mentioned that we shouldn’t use the Internal Dice Roller b/c someone could do their combat move and dice rolls over before posting so that they could get the rolls they want, so yes I need you to PM your email to me again and I’ll give you mine. When you get the dice result emails, set up your email so that these can go into another folder (Spam folder or whatever) so that you have the option to look these over and/or throw them out later, then they don’t flood your Inbox folder.
I guess this is why they instructed players to use the outside dice server on the TripleA PBF instructions- duh- now I know. Thanks Mistergreen and seth for pointing this out.
Also, save your game before you press “Done” for your combat moves, b/c it is at this time you need to ask your opponent about interceptors for SBRs and scrambling. Once you press “Done”, you can’t go back and you will have to do your turn over again.
I also heard that the SBRs don’t do the +2 with bombers yet. I’m gonna check this out and see and ask the editors about this. This would be and immediate fix for them that they could do right away.

SBR is not d6+2 for the bombers yet…I’ll tell Veryqn to fix very soon.
However you can adjust this in EDIT mode on the menu- Territory change, IPC changes and Add/Deleting units
Your EDIT moves WILL be shown on the Turn Summary so make sure you give your opponents a heads up as to the reasons why.
Vance, As far as your sub issue, I tried your scenario you explained and didn’t have a problem with it.
Another tip: When moving the units, click on the units as many times as the number of units and you will move the whole stack of those units or click the tt (I think) and choose all the units to move- or a certain number of them.
Any issues, tell Veryqn- he updates the thing.
BTW- please PM me your e-mail if you haven’t already, thanks. I’m sure it will take all of us a little while to adjust to the new options, but they are definitely worth it. Take some time to discover all the options in the menu- I think he does have a thread for all this in the “Software” category of AA.org

Okay, so a bunch of errors popped up when I ended my turn and it looks like the auto post crapped out. It might’ve been because I wasn’t paying attention when I retreated and it retreated me to Kenya instead of my planned move to Sudan. I enabled the edit function to delete the art/arm in Kenya and placed two more in Sudan.
And yeah, about those mistakes . . . I thought I could get some troops into egy and apparently not so much. :roll:
I also thought you only had 1 infantry in congo . . . bleh.
