    yes but both were more than offset by that one single italian tank hit that led to 15 trn and 5 battleships going to the bottom (my mistake of course, but still, one random italian hit sends all that fleet to the bottom?  maddening!)

    yeah, at one point, i knew i had to take cng to make the fleet safe.  but of course, time passed before i made the final move and i thought, why throw away 2 inf, just take one and kill that tank, forgetting that taking the territory was paramount.  this would be a much different game if that had not happened.  you never would have had a shot on either of the fleets you attacked.  because that did happen, it’s going to make things tight regarding fleet vs. axis air for the rest of the way.
