Hm. The Simulator I use shows a 75% to 25% in my favour, but I guess those vary, and for sure I do not know if the one I found is any good. he is G40 specific though and includes super subs. Would the battle be low luck, the sim gives me a 99% win chance. So all in all I am happy with those odds. Of course one in 4 times you would win, thats a risk I have to take.
As for your subs, yes, true. But if I win the first battle then my own new super subs from Manchuria + DD and surrounding air will also come and trump your 5 subs. Or I build in japan and then your subs need to go there instead of my fleet. And so on :)
So, all together the battle is in my favour, but still admittedly risky. But its not suicide or too unwise.
And I never said it is an error. You can afford the losses, should they realize.
Just realize in your account you miss quite some Tacs, maybe this is why its only 60/40. Should be 8 Tacs (4 Phil, 2 fleet, manch, FIC) as far as I remember.

I think I missed the 4 tacs phi in my calc. And yeah I think you have to make the hit as strategically will give J breathing room even if the pacific is empty except subs after! Go ahead with I. I’ll post f and R tonight and should be able to give you a full Car OOL.

From Mor it can reach London, which I guess is what you want. If you tell me that is what you would have done (although I see no reason why the fig should go there strategically (I could not have reached Mor with a combat move), I certainly am fine with it.
