After looking at the scenario, I see if you sent all you could into sz61, I would be able to take them out with my bmr, ftrs, subs and dds….and still have 12-14 ftrs left…according to the combat simulator. Which would mean game over. So, that being said, let it stand as is…gives me a built in excuse if I do lose  :-D

OBG agreed that the navy going to z61 was never really even a possibility.  in a way it could be said he let me off the hook, but on the other hand, it would have been quite a stretch for him to say i intended to move the nave to z61.  he just got 8 extra hits in persia though, so maybe that’s his reward…  :-)

no i’m not saying my dice were terrible in this battle, just that his first round roll was incredible, expecially the first 27 dice thrown which you mentioned were epic.  luckily they cooled down from there…  :lol:

i believe the overall result of this battle was pretty terrible for the allies though, i’m just glad i didn’t put the 6 bombers there, which would have given me odds in the battle and which i strongly considered doing…

my truly terrible dice have been against Jenn… worth looking at.  she’s hit me for 80 plus damage without losing a bomber, and she’s had two major wipeouts of stacks she went after with poor odds…  game should have been over a couple of times already but the dice keep yanking her from the fire.  in addition, she has played so slowly that she has technically already lost the game per the 72 hr post rule but i just told her i’d be willing to continue if she’d get with it.

everyone knows the first round roll is the most important.  me getting an extra hit in round 2 while he got a hit or two less is miniscule compared to the 8 hit swing in round 1.  but you know that.  :lol:

regardless, not complaining, i think it’s great, and i think he deserved it.  :-)

well this crushing defeat in persia really puts the pressure on the allies to take out japan even faster, and in addition it takes away 4 of the fighters so desperately needed in order to do so.  i gotta hand it to you OBG, it was definitely the right attack to make in that spot.
