I am concerned about your sea movement issue though… that’s got to be a glitch or something?  THe other game I’m playing of this is Version 1.5, seems to be flawless. (Not that I’ve had issues in our game?)  Global is also now out of the latest rebuilt version 1.5.2.  I suppose shortly, everyone will be using that.

And as this is all new, it’s going to take some getting used to! You’ll just get some good theme music going!

I think I figured it out. I did not realize you could “own” sea zones. I tried to move the French destroyer from 50 to  48, not realizing that is a combat move.

I think I may like to play global through triplea……as long as the changes in the rules are done  :roll:

That was the Frenchmen’s first turn and they were clueless as to how those stinking sea zones worked. They were too busy baking pastries in military academy and forgot to pay attention the the naval part….or it was me not knowing I had to move ships into ones marked as convoy and dropped the ball on moving a destroyer down to 48…see below…but until I have definitive proof, I am blaming the French for the screw-up  :-D

FYI

Great War (triplea) operates under “A&A Revised” rules as far as I can tell.

The Convoy Zones operate using “A&A Europe” rules (the original europe), meaning that:
1. enemy convoy zones can only be moved into during combat move phase
2. you can move through owned or friendly convoy zones during non-combat move (including ones you just conquered)
3. only the original owner of the convoy zone collects income from them. if the convoy zone is taken by an enemy, the enemy does not collect income. 
In other words, convoy zones can only be “denied”, never “conquered”.  Those merchant ships go to the bottom of the ocean, they don’t switch sides.
