this makes me wonder again how much the axis advantage in victory conditions affects the games overall balance; that the axis can win with less than a full victory, whereas the allies basically need what amounts to a total military victory.

…but a map would rock!
I was waiting for the results of the convoy damage so I could add that to the map. But then it kept saying that there were new posts, so I had to pause and double check what you’d written just in case I’d missed something again. :-P
-
but then it kept saying that there were new posts
:roll:Actually what I am doing is adding the next letter of the alphabet. Like:
01aG
01bR
01cJ
01dUKetc that way the saves are all in order…
No need to follow my naming method (not that it is mine picked it up from here)
if you don’t like, since I just edit the name when I save the map. :-) -
I’m a little curious if you are overlooking the uses of air bases and naval bases for extra range? The fig, tac in wind and fleet in sz12 seems like a odd choice, but perhaps I’m missing something?
If you want to alter those ncm (->sz10 and ->ind) when you do Anzac it won’t upset Italy’s turn.
-
sz12 doesn’t really matter either way. I moved them there to help cover the blocker that was falling back. I don’t think your air could reach, but I figured it didn’t hurt any if I moved the fleet up.
The ftr/tac however were misplaced. I was going for epr as I could potentially hit irq w/them and still be in position to hit burma if need be.
-
I’ll move the fig, tac to epr.

Peeking at Japan’s next turn I noticed you are collecting the Anzac NO. That like many NO’s in this version is only valid while at war.
I got an alternative map for you, where Anzac took jav rd1 and dgu rd2 and pUK took cel rd2. That still make Anzac lose 6 ipc (down to 13) and pUK lose 1 ipc (down to 26).
Another option is that we overlook that you collected the NO turn one, you keep the old map and deduct 5 ipc from Anzac.
The newest abattlemap for a3 those sadly not correctly reflect all NO from the current version. One importent omission is that Russia score’s for all German, Italy’s and pro-axis areas but at least a few Italian african area’s aren’t on the “list” on the map.
I suspect you got this link but anyhow:

Whether you go with the old or new map feel free to alter Anzac’s turn. It does not really affect Germany. The same goes for pUK. Ie units that are and plan to stay on the pacific map during the reworking of the turn.
-
I’ll stick to the old map but sadly Anzac should forfeit 10 as they collected that NO both turns. So subtract 5 from NO , drop tac to fighter, lose the inf, and lose the 1ipc saved last turn.

I think you removed the fig instead of the inf. So I changed the inf in nsw to a fig.
