not sure this is going the Axis’s way. I have to admit that sealion does slow things up for the Axis…
If you can eliminate the Japanese fleet of the Philippines, I think it will be all down hill for the Allies… but if my kamikazes are lucky…
-
That can be true indeed, I think the problem for the axis in Europe was that you left a lot of your precious valuable units in the UK, giving Russia a real good chance to make a stand. And now you’re out of transports to bring them over to the Eastern Front, sure you can rebuild them, but that would only spell doom for Germany. The result is that Russia is on the same level of production as Germany now, whilst the Japanese are not coming through in the Far East and the Italians were smashed too badly to be of any significance.
But I do think that even if the fight for the Phillipines sea zone goes bad for the allies, it will still be near impossible to force a Pacific win for the Axis, India is far from being taken and the Anzac can properly defend itself untill the USA comes with a new fleet, which it can produce easily since Germany lacks the income to defend the Atlantic territories and take out Russia at the same time. -
but anyways, that being said, the game isn’t over yet. I’d call it 55% for the Allies now…but in the end we all have to rely on the dice gods.

allot 1 to both cruisers and 1 to each dd
I have this sinking felling they will all miss
my air in phi will scramble… without looking at map I think I’ve got 3 ftrs there?
-
Yeah, I think I mishandled Germany, largely due to my failure to understand the scramble rule correctly. They made a clarification to the rule in the Rules Clarification that I never read or failed to take in….
Live and learn. 8-)

you have 3 Fighters in Phillipines indeed

Take out all hot points first
-
this will only end in mutual destruction
USA losses: 2 CV, 2 DD (6 hits)
Japan losses: do you want to sacrifice your Phillipines planes before your BB? IF yes, the fight goes on, if not, the battle for the sea zone is over. -
Grim choice…
What do you have left? -
right now USA has left:
2 damaged BB
2 CA
5 Fig
1 TacB
1 bomberThis is with casualties from round already taken care off (so all Carriers and DD’s are destroyed currently)
you have in the sea zone itself
1 damaged BB (from round 1)
2 damaged CV (from round 1)
1 SS
2 DD
2 Fig
2 TacB
(1 TT)
3 Fig scrambling from Phillipinesyou need to assign 8 hits to these now
