Town…. not really. They were some ten miles from the next food depot, and they knew where it was, but just couldn’t make it. There are no real towns on Antarctica even today, and there were certainly no permanent settlements either back then.
The Death Penalty
-
I don’t know about some fancy dance hotel in Canada, but in the U.S. it is different. Listening to personal stories on NPR of men being beaten, and raped on a regular basis. One guy was stabbed dozens of time with an ice pick. Sounds luxorious to me (sarcastic)
-
If you are poor than the system might treat you like karp. But if you’re free, then prison stay is just a minor nuisance.

Quote: How can peaple be pro-life, against Abortion, but for death penalty ?
The one’s on death row had their chance…and they blew it, the unborn baby hasn’t.
-
Still, its not “pro-life”
-
I do believe that the majority of pro-lifers are against the death penalty.
-
I joke with ym friends that i am in the “pro killing party”, because i am pro the war on terror (we should of picked a better name, the name sounds like it is good versus evil), pro abortion (pro choice), pro euthanasia, and pro death pelenty.
-
Ha, sounds a bit like me
-
(we should of picked a better name, the name sounds like it is good versus evil)
i totally agree
pro abortion (pro choice)
I am pro choice, but against abortion (exept in some, very rare case)
pro euthanasia, and pro death pelenty.
Not a little useless ?
-
Well no everything is black and white. Like I’m “pro-life” in abortion but not always (such as cases of rape, life endangerment of the mother, or incest). Same with the death penalty. It really depends on varying degrees.
-
The intrinsic problem with the Death Penalty is that you can’t pardon a corpse.
