Current actions in the Middle East

Theres a lot more death to the palestinian side. AND theres a quite big difference…
The Israel Governement sponsored these murder.
Palestinian Peaple does’nt support terrorism.
And… israel does’nt want any International Soldier, Arafat want. So when Charon is saying Arafat does’nt want peace but he want…

RE: Saddam - What happens when he dies? I don’t think he has trained any of his children to rule when he dies. The generals are weak as he has (had) killed those who would threatened his control. Those in power are of the minor Muslim sect. Will the next ruler be better or worse? ‘It’s better to deal with the devil you do know than the devil you don’t know.’
Did anybody read Executive Orders by Tom Clancy? The idea being that yhe gov’t. of Iran moved swiftly to join the to countries and be a bigger oil and military power.

Gota agree Fin, Israel (and America to a point) sponsors Terrorism more than Saddam Hussein or Yassar Arafar.

Actually, in a recent article I read in time. Saddam’s children are shaping up to take over his job. The question is, which one?

Saddam isn’t going to live to a death by Old Age. I bet you he has a Cruise Missle up his arse by Next Christmas.
-
If only someone had the nerves to do it. Who knows maybe Israel will do it as payback for the Squd missiles that Iraq launched during Desert Storm.

Great ! But dont put Arafat and Hussein in the same bag… I dont think Arafat deserve that
Here in europe the support is more toward palestinian. America toward isralelian… Put that with all problem America-Europe (steel, agriculture, international criminal court). Maybe its the begginning of the Second American’s Isolarionist Era.

As an American I would like to see a bit more handsoff policy from the rest of the world. I’m not saying lets all of a sudden revert to 1920’s isolation, but maybe try to forcus less of the Middle East and Europe and more on Asia and Africa.
-
Or, look at the real problems. There are more humanitarian problems in Africa (both west and east) that we need to help out while they continue to spiral out of control. Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan, all of these are experiences huge famines. Maybe the United States should stop worrying about money and start helping people.
-
Well America is doing a lot. Look at Bill Gates. He’s a jackass with a heart. He plans to contribute 20 billion (not million, BILLON) dollars in order to help improve the living conditions of Africa and help to control AIDs. But I agree, we should stop sending money to Egypt and Israel to buy arms and instead concentrate on helping lesser of places like Asia and Africa.
-
I believe Bill Gates is giving more money to East Africa than America has in the past 10 years.
-
Well 20 billion dollars is a lot of money. Compare this with the 500+ million we give to Israel each year (which some people call our greatest Allie, though I do not believe so). Well at least it goes to somewhat restore his “pirate image.”
-
The US only gives about 6,000,000,000 Dollars in Aid. If Bill Gates is giving away 20,000,000,000 Dollars just to Africa, maybe it should send a message to the Government to help these people out a bit.
-
The problem is that we’re already running huge budget deficits, in addition to the trillions of dollars since the Reagan administration. So where should the money go, to the Americans or the Africans? I think we should combat poverty in America and in the inner cities (I use to live in them) before spending enormous resources to get rid of Africa’s problems.
-
Simple enough, stop wasting money! The Goverment spends a trillion dollars on “Pork” money.

me fail inglish? that’s unpossible!
It is a known fact that is blatantly shouted out in pride that they support matyrdom attacks. I have debated with palestinians and their top supporters. 85% (in support of palestinian terror) was a number spitted out by a pro-palestinian guy! they justify murder…70% of the israeli people justify murder in self defense.

“RE: Saddam - What happens when he dies? I don’t think he has trained any of his children to rule when he dies.”
You ever hear of Qussay and Uday? They are fu**ing nuts, and that is an understatement. Saddam is the Stalin of today. No other man blatantly starves his people, gases them, and uses secret police and soldiers to massacre his people and ethnic minorities. Though I believe Saddam didn’t have much if none at all to do with anything about 9-11, he is a big reason aside from Israel nuts like Usama bin Laden attacked America. Saddam must be taken out…not because of terror or oil, but because it would not only for the good of society, but him and his sons are too dangerous to have around. Iraq is actively trying to creative destructive weapons, and an instable like Iraq, is not a country you would want to trust with that sort of capability. Saddam already killed millions…how many more in the future do you want?

I think it is Uday. He is the head of the secret police, and the other son is a complete nut.

Based on what? Your opinion? Randomly blowing up people is terror…not a UN sanction, and not carefully decimating a camp, with very minimal civilian casualties (only one died from a bulldozer after being warned in advance that bulldozers were a’commin’.)

Sadly, we can try but there is no way to directly help these people by handing them ffood directly. In reality, the governments and warlords take the food.
What we need is the momentum that rid small pox off this world. I would support an effort as large as that…not just a half assed effort.

I believe it was during the 20s (either starting is Harding’s or coolidge’s administration) that america started to mess around in the middle east, especially iran.
