You take surprise strike sub hits to the two battleships and 1 sub.  So the other 12 hits are applied to 11 subs and 1 carrier.  You can swap the carrier for a cruiser or fighter later if need be

GG.  Very well played on your part.  My apologies for all the stalling….  Part of it was lack of interest since Global 3.9 came out, part of it was I had no idea how to come back.

I considered resigning after the India fiasco and probably should have.  Oh well.

I find games where I’m behind to be the most difficult games re. strategic decision-making.  In a position where I’m winning, it’s easier to come up with guidelines about what risks to take (namely, don’t take big risks lol).  But in a losing position, it’s vital to take risks, but it’s very hard to determine which risks are worthwhile.  Should I take 30, 40% battles or not?  In the end I took a big 23% battle and did well but not well enough.

I know if we played 10 games you would certainly win your share if not more.  This one just went my way

So you are enjoying Global now too?  I finally finished my first real game (over 10 rounds) of Global recently.  My other games never really seemed to go over 4 rounds (many of them team games).  I did play some full games of P40 before E40 came out, though, so I’m pretty familiar.  It’s really fun and neat, but it takes so much more time to make moves…  I only play 1 global game at a time.  Maybe I’ll get faster with experience.
