@crockett36 I know that complicates the software. It will only be an issue if the sub gets a hit the second round. My advice is to play it out. If the sub gets a hit, I still get a return fire at a 2 under Game: roll dice.
Bold (x) vs. Cmndr Jenn (+5), +NO, -tech

perhaps a fair compromise would be for you to redo your russian turn? i’d like to see the dice go a little more evenly rather than upper 1% for you…
-
I’ve had a couple lucky rounds, I admit. Perhaps the game would be lost if not for that luck, perhaps I would be in a better position without it (due to having to do different builds and tactics.)
Either way, I’d like to see how the game concludes as is. Mostly because I dislike not finishing games to the point of surrender (yes, I dislike winning or losing as well, mainly because I think this game should continue until one side surrenders - though I admit the need for some concrete rule for victory to deal with those players who won’t surrender until they are completely wiped out…)
-
So we agree i have won but we finish the game to satisfy your curiosity?

yes after that response, i don’t really even want to continue the game, i may have to stick the rule book to you Jenn, and not satisfy your curiosity. i don’t think you can win this game, but it will take so much time and effort for me to beat you, given your incredible luck so far, and especially if it were to continue as it seems so wont to do…

If DM had said a certain time frame, then yes. However, I’d still like to play it out to an actual conclusion. By that, I mean 2 allied capitols in axis hands or Berlin/Tokyo (either or) in Allied hands. That’s generally when games collapse instead of going to the bitter end.
And Gamerman, I have no idea what insanity you are refering to in “delusional”. I do think the Allies have plenty good chances of winning still, especially with the Germans gutted on the front lines. Japan can still suicide their air force and let Germany get Moscow, but it’s a pretty useless victory at that point, since they won’t have anything else on the map.

Don’t get me wrong, Jenn, you are a very pleasant person and I’m sorry I find myself poking you so often.
It’s just that the obvious is so often lost on you.
I put the insanity I was referring to in BOLD PRINT so that you couldn’t miss it, but you STILL didn’t know what I was referring to? :-) There’s only one Jennifer and I mean that in a good way. :-) -
OK, let me make it totally unambiguous.
Your statement that “perhaps I would be in a better position without it” (“it” being supreme luck) seemed ludicrous to me. And I wouldn’t have commented except I couldn’t help but notice all the discussions you had with Bold and how they reminded me of our games, when you made several very poor decisions and tried to defend them.
Again, thanks for the games and I enjoyed them, but after 4 games I definitely had had enough.
Found it interesting (funny?) that Bold played you a game in spite of my experiences with you.Really hesitated to post in your game, Bold, and I hope you don’t mind. Looked about over, and I couldn’t hold my tongue anymore - Jenn’s last ridiculous comment was really too much to resist.
-
Blah, okay, so it was humorous.
I still wanna play it out. There’s a chance the Axis can still win, but Moscow is no certain victory - even if he gets it.
E. Ukraine was a gamble, yes, if it had gone as expected there’d be no doubt, but it didn’t and there is.
(Since it’s a page back now, if you want to report it as a win for the league purposes that’s fine, I won’t contest it. Rules are rules. I do want to see how this turns out though, if you are game to see it to the end. I’d probably define end as either Berlin or Tokyo falling, or Moscow and either London or Washington falling with the caveat of if you get and maintain economic and military superiority for a few rounds (2) then allies surrender. I don’t see the economic thing happening without Africa or Russia or China though.)
-
Ok jenn this game is officially over and i win. I will continue to post to this game if and when i have no other league game in which it is my turn to post (i have a lot of games going, which is a big part of why i dont really want to put much more time into this one since it is technically over by rule and also very likely an axis advantage despjte repeated dicings).
-
I agree to the former, but disagree, vehemently, to the latter! The Allies shall reign supreme o’er the land!
