Paris taken with 4 tanks.  Most of the time, you can take Paris without losing your tanks and even keeping some of your artillery.  Very nasty break.

W France taken with loss of 1 inf.

I am not sure if I would always go for sea lion under this opening since:
1.) Loss of tactical bomber – 1 in 4 chance
2.) Loss of all but 4 tanks in Paris when expected outcome was keep 5 tanks and 2 artillery
3.) The loss of the tank and artillery significantly reduces the fire power that I can bring.

Collect 41 + 10 + 19 (French booty) = 70 ipcs in pocket

were you able to install the battlemap software?  can you open battlemap?

after selecting “new” from the menu bar,

are you able to find the following map, “Axis & Allies: Global 1940 Alpha +.3 v1 GA3.gim”?

can you open that variant?

I noticed u typoed France attack with 4 inf from w. Germ but the # of inf are still the same so it doesnt matter.  And did you take a tac or a fighter in SZ112 as loss? You said fighter at first but at the end of post you said tac bomber? I cannot pull up map. Tried for 3 1/2 hours lol. I’ll do Russia blind. If you don’t mind posting your NCMs until I can get the map working. Otherwise after Russia I cannot go foward until I get damn map to work. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong?

you need to create a folder called GA3.gim under the abattlemap folder.

after you have created that folder, unzip the downloaded contents into the folder.

no you don’t have to have a different ga3.gim folder for each game, just one for the scenario specific information.

ok so here is where i am at. I uninstalled the abattlemap and reinstalled the .80 version or whatever it is.  It does not have anything for global except two varients that are completely different then what im looking for.  There is no “Axis & Allies: Global 1940 Alpha +.3 v1 GA3.gim”  i downloaded the GA3.gim and copied it to battemap and still dont have any extra options.

Now when i click on your map i can open it or save it or open/save it… it wont let me copy it ?

I was able to copy it yesterday, then i pasted it into the GA3.gim, but when i opened it only the tool bar comes up, no map???

I am not that good on the computer but im following everything that was said on the forums to try and get this to work and yet nothing is working lol.  any other suggestions?

Try to open the map file using the battlemap software.

Then select “file” “open” and file the map file that I sent you.

I uninstalled everything and deleted everything. I’m going to try yet again hen I get home. Thanks for the help by the way. I’ll get this damn thing running if it kills me lol. I’m slightly computer illiterate lol.
