G40 League House Rule project

Damn it Bold, you were my one tier 1 I’ve beaten so far! Now get your butt in gear and notch some more wins and get yourself back into tier one!
-
nope, the rest of the league year is jammed with KICKING COW’S MANGY BUTT. the league year served it’s purpose to get me into shape to crush that idiot and soon it is going to finally come to fruition.
sorry seth - next year buddy!

i will be notching a win against commander jenn, but i don’t think that’s gonna bump me over 3.5.

this is the game where i gave jenn a 48 bid. i was right that a 148 bid would have been more fair.

Oh, we will definitely play again next year, just promise to stay in Tier one next year. :-P
I have 2 games against tier ones that I should most likely win and another one that I’m not feeling as confident in as I was a week or so ago, but still think I have an advantage. I’ll probably drop another one to Gamer despite some great dice and then there’s a couple of games against tier 1 competition that are still tossups or I’m losing in. I hope I can get 3 wins out of those ones, maybe 4-5 if I get lucky/catch a break.

gamerman01, i recommend that you put the points awarded for wins and losses on your spread sheet.
this thread has become unruly and new players will not know how points are awarded. i have been part of the league and using your spread sheet for many months and i have forgotten how many points are awarded.
if i remember correctly
win against tier 1 you are awarded 6
win against tier 2 you are awarded 5
win against tier 3 you are awarded 4
lose against tier 1 you are awarded 3
lose against tier 2 you are awarded 2
lose against tier 3 you are awarded 1 -

Would it be possible to make an extra column somewhere in the sheet that includes the matches that counts as league wins/losses though they’re not included in your rankings?
That would make it easier for Jenn to remember stats when determining participators in the league playoffs.

Don’t worry, arathorn, you’ll get credit for your cheap G1 win against a guy who’s never even finished a league game

You do realize Alex and Arathorn are two completely separate players yes?

don’t mind me, i’m having a crazy day.

Great! I know it’s cheap, but if I want to try to be in the final 8 this year, I need to take everything I can. I have played several tier 1 and tier 2 players, and avoided only playing seemingly easier competition to gain a 100% record like others have done on here ;)

They are, yet they’re one and the same, since Arathorn is the alias of Alex, who happens to be ME! (No, not ME1945) ;)

So I had Bold go back and tactfully cover his tracks for nothing…. :-P
You see, Seth, it was not a “cheap shot” for me to call out Arathorn - he himself admits it’s cheap

Even though it is cheap, if you were to place a bet on who would have won that game, who would it be on? ;)
At least I’m playing top players, instead of only playing those I know I’d most likely beat ;)

How about a column for worst sportsmanship in the league. You’d only need one slot.

It’s a good idea for a player to have a naughty and nice list, Infrastructure…
People you like playing and people you don’t. I suggest you keep your own list.Cheers, and happy gaming

I wouldn’t argue with a win/loss column. :P I’d still have to verify it, but I wouldn’t the help since I’m just going to ask Gamerman to confirm my records anyway.
