I must have got confused because I still had you as a 2 and you were temporarily above Wheatbeer, who I had as a 1. You guys are both close to the border line…

If Snake11eyes is bumped up to 1 tier, which he perhaps will be with his 3.5 PPG, there will be a lot of movement on top.
Gamerman01 will move to 3rd with a 4,45 PPG
Alexgreat will be at a 4,38 PPG, which means he’ll move to 4th over Ziggurat!
Hank will move past Zhukov at a 4,29 PPG
Stalingradski will move to a 3,78 PPG
Wheatbeer will move to a 3,66 PPGThere are other movements as well, but I only did the top tier!

I normally wait for a player to cross into the next tier a bit so I don’t have to switch them back and forth as often if they win and lose back and forthAnyway, Snake needs to prove himself a bit more, because while he very consistently beats weaker players, he does not currently have a winning record against a single tier 1 player.
I am pleased to see his huge rise up the rankings over the past few months. I was one of the first to play him, in late February. I was pretty sure he showed a lot of promise, and I told him so. He made a lot of good decisions in our games. So I’m pleased to see that I was right about him :-) And that I didn’t get snake-bit! :-D

Since snake has only been defeated by tier 1 players so far, I wager than he’ll make it :-)

Yes, should be just a matter of time. Plus, I think he’s improved rapidly as he’s moved along the learning curve, so another result or two and he’ll probably be in the club :-)

Looking briefly at the R7 map between RGP and Snake, it looks like a contested game, and Snake’s last post was July 22.
I’m going to wait a bit before I count it in my rankings…
RGP appears to be entitled to a league win according to league rule #5.

I only hesitated to count it before because it looked like he had barely timed out and he had been pretty active for several monthsAnyway, doesn’t matter, I’m counting it now

Man, it looks like I’m right where I belong in the rankings. I’ve won only a single game against players ranked higher than me and have conversely only lost a single game against players ranked lower.

I actually have noticed that this is quite true of several other players as wellIt’s amazing how well it works, considering it’s pretty simple

I count 346 results where a higher ranked player won over a lower one, compared to 73 losses
That’s .826, or nearly 5/6 of the games.
You could say that on average, a higher ranked player will beat a lower one 5/6 of the time.
Seems the rankings are very accurate! Who needs ELO?! :-) -
I’m only 1/8 against higher ranking players. :cry:
Need to turn up the heat some . . . maybe I’ll beat both you and RGP who has shot up the ranks to #2 atm!
