See where you stack up against the other 50 league players in the 2013 league
See first 2 posts in this thread for explanations/details.Reminder to players to go back and look at the first post in the G40 league thread for the league rules.
One thing that has changed since then is the # of games required to make the playoffs, and how many players will participate in the playoffs, but it will still go purely by win % - that has not been changed.13 games?
8 players in playoff? What in the case that 2 guys have the same win percentage, and the same score too for example 25-12?
- You need to meet the required number of games to qualify.
- Best win percentages will play in the playoffs (not sure on number of brackets right now.)
- In the case of a tie, for a playoff spot, the player with more games will continue over the player with fewer games. So if Player A had 50 games and a percentage of 98% and Player B had 25 games and a percentage of 98%, then player A would take priority for the playoffs over player B.
1)And taht number is ? 13 games against 7 players?
2)Around which number are U? is it 4, 8 or 16?
3)What if both have 50 games and 98 % ?
-
- Yes, currently 13 games against at least 7 different players. We can change it next year, but really, it’s only designed to stop people from having 3 or 4 wins and having 100% win/loss records.
- ATM, looking at the top 8 players for playoffs. I want to minimize the time playoffs run into next season if at all possible!
- I’ll cross that bridge when I come to it. ATM, I am thinking in that case I would look at how they faired playing each other and the won who won the most against the other would move on. If they never played each other, I’d look for the best player they both played and the won who did the best against him (her) would move on. I’ll figure something out that’s fair if this becomes an issue.

totally agree.

Great.

I suggest U declare this rules in case of two players being eve, now so we dont have problems later. It is better to prevent then to cure, and why wouldnt people know the detailed rules. U already more or less have answers.
-
Have U seen my post at the G 40 League topic? About playoffs? What do U think about it?

Would be great if one already exists… if so please enlighten me!

Don’t you use “show new replies to your posts”? I always know what games are waiting for me, using this feature
-
If you go in to look at the thread, it will remove it from your list.
However, to leave the thread that you are viewing, you can click “mark unread” and this will make it show up in your “show unread posts since last visit” list.Do you actually look down through the league boards looking for your games? Oh my. :-P

I use this feature too, but when you post from TripleA you will have to remark it. I’ve noticed that if I don’t I don’t get any more notices.
-
Hmmm - I have not had that problem.
Sure, after posting my move in Triple A, that takes it off my list, but that’s what I want. It comes back on my list when someone else (my opponent) makes a post.
This way, the list is always a short list of the games where it is my turn. -
