In fact, Eggman (continuing discussion from post results thread),
If I exclude you, the Allies are 50-43. A .538 winning percentage.
How many games have you played past 3 or 4 rounds? Just wondering.
Looking at the results of all “tier 1” and “tier 2” players, they are 48-24 with the Allies.
That tells me that if you know what you’re doing, winning with the Allies is NO TROUBLE at all :-)

Almost forgot

Indeed, I think the Allies have the edge with these 10 bids.
Perhaps this game is closer to “balanced” than everyone thinks! Or maybe it’s the Axis who could use a bid! We’ll see what happens as everybody gets more experienced on average.
Anyway, at this rate we’re going to have about 400 games completed in a year’s time. That will be a lot of data.

Clearly, several: namely every game that I won. When you fully analyze the data (on everybody), you’ll need to have lots more breakdowns- including the win ratio for games taking place only in the same tier. There seems to be some agreement that the Allies are more favored if the Axis player is inexperienced, which certainly fits with my own personal data- everyone I’ve defeated is ranked below me.
And I would also exclude tech games from the data since it is so unbalancing. I’m very disappointed that allweneedislove is just playing tech games with you so far, I would have preferred that if he lost it happened in a
real
game. As far as I’m concerned his record is still unblemished… but tech is a different topic altogether. -

please do it, if ONLY to silence the egg

Allweneed was thoroughly outplayed and tech had nothing to do with it
We’ll see how his record looks at the end of the year. -

My opinion isn’t relevant, his record speaks for itself. Your comment about the expense reveals why you can’t really evaluate the results on a game where tech was allowed to skew the outcome. If you spend little on tech and get it, you should expect to win since tech has no counter except luck. If you spend a lot on tech and get nothing, you would probably expect to lose since in hindsight it would seem obvious that the money would have been better spent on units.
If you continue to spend money on tech in your second game v. love and fail to get a major one (some are clearly far less useful than others - I’m looking at you,
War Bonds
!) and still manage to win, then I’ll be impressed (not that this matters) and will eat a virtual hat or what have you. -
Disagree about your “no counter to tech” and we’ll leave it at that.
I enjoy playing with tech because it adds another dimension to the game, and obviously allweneed enjoys worrying about it and/or watching me waste my money and is willing to deal with the consequences if I hit a major one
The 2nd game is a good one so far - you may want to check it out

After 3 completed games you will have a ranking :-)
And red print, and bigger, non-italicized fontIf that’s not incentive to finish 3 games, I don’t know what is
