Analysis complete.
Conclusion: Somewhat inconclusive. It does appear that it’s close to an even match. Personally, I’m skeptical that small Allied bids are having a significant effect, considering the grand scope of the game.
Frankly, MOST of the league games played have been mis-matches between players, and/or players are very inexperienced with this game. It only takes one of the two players to not really know what they’re doing, to give a misleading result.
The jury is still out. More data needed, especially between players who are really good with one side.
It would be interesting to see Bold (6-1) or Jeff (6-2) play Axis vs. Jeff (9-3) or Karl (7-4).
I am aware that Bold (x) IS playing Jeff (Allies) and the game is nearly over.
I am also aware that in this game, it has really been going back and forth, with each player sure they were going to lose it (the game, that is) at different times.
No wonder they had some conflict. The proverbial unstoppable force just met an unmoveable object.
So I conclude that so far, it looks like this game is quite “balanced”. Yay!
Check out the new columns way off to the right. You can now see quickly who played who, and how successful each player is with Axis or Allies. Very handy information, before you start bidding with somebody! If they’re 10-1 with Axis and have never played as Allies, guess which side they want?! Let them have their Allied bid - don’t bid them down!
