I went when I was really young. I think I mainly visited resorts and amusement parks.
Who are you?

I, my name is Marc-Alexandre Camirand, I’m 23 and I live in montreal. I’m an electronic technician and i’ve been playing for about 2 years now. Unfortunately I don’t really have a group of players now. My friends are much more talkers than players. They love the game but are to chicken to play as often as we could. Let me tell you guyz that having found this site I feel a little less alone.

My real name is Brandon. I hail from Chickamauga, GA - some of you American Civil War buffs may be familiar with that town in northwest Georgia. I currently live and work in Atlanta.
I got into Axis and Allies in 1991 while in high school. I played a lot while in college at Georgia Tech. I still remember the feeling of staying up all night, seeing the first rays of daylight, and hearing the birds begin to chirp outside.
Haven’t played much since then - about '96 - except online at the zone. An A&A.org league sounds like fun.

I’m Paul. I’m 34 years old, married with 3 kids. I’ve been playing for 17 years on and off since high school and through my military service of 6 years. The best aspect of the game is the never ending updates in strategy. It’s got me hooked for life. The PC version opened a new world. Look foward to talking to you all. P.S. - David, I sent you the “Russia’s War” strategy. Hope you can post it.

Hi Nils and Greensleeves,
first I’ll answer your question about where to get it, In amersfoort or Utrecht it is avilable but a friend of mine got it in Arnhem in Het spelkwartier, maybe thats better. Besides post your phone number, perhaps we can play a game, especially Nils, Utrecht and Amersfoort are pretty close. -
thanks a lot mate, i bought Europe in Arnhem , im saving for pacific now.
4 nils: it costed me 180 guilders, i think thats standard for netherlands isnt it? i saw it on some places for 200, but there is a shop in Essen i think in Germany where they sell them for only 140 guilders.

I have not got the cd-rom but I thought we could visit each other and play a regular game on a gameboard.
P.S. I got my two games for a 175 guilders each so I guess 180 aint too bad, you should maybe visit a games festival like Spellenspektakel in Eindhoven. There they genereally sell their stuff a bit cheaper.

Hi, my name is Robert Wilson, but people call me Robby. I am 14 and am a freshman in high school in Marietta, Georgia, United States. (northwest of Atlanta). I started playing when I was ten and haven’t been able to play much. I got the game and taught my brothers (12,7)to play, but needless to say they are not a challenge and I can beat them repeatedly on a bad luck day. Then last summer I played my friend from Church (he’s 16) and…got my butt kicked, three times. I even had extraordinarily good luck one of the games. Then I found this site. I don’t get on much but I really enjoy discussing strategies I would never be able to think up on my own. (Until recently I thought that it was a bad idea for russia to attack, not first turn, not ever.) I’ve only played my friend from church once since then, and I still lost, but not as badly. Needless to say, I really like the game and my main problem is getting people to play in my area. (I don’t own the CD-ROM, (nor do I know where to find it), so I can’t play online)
If you’ve read this far I thank you as this was a long post for me. I hope to be on more often in January.
P.S.-does anyone know what stores (not online as I have no credit card, or checking account either)have A&A CD-ROM, and how much it costs. -
Hi! My name is Daniel Ferruccio, 22 years old, from Vancouver, Canada (west coast). I’ve been playing A&A off and on for about two years now. Usually every Sunday 4 buddies and myself get together for the classic board game match. And if anyone out there can tell me if there’s a Mac version of the CD game (which I doubt there is), it would be greatly appreciated.

My name is Jayson DiGiantomasso form San Juan Capistrano, CA. I’m 18, and have been playing A&A for about 4 years, although I prefer A&AE. I’m up for a gaming leuge, though I wonder, will it be the CD or will it be the board game, and if BG, would it be classic, europe, or pacific?
-

I’m David Jensen, your Axis & Allies.org webmaster/forum admin. I’m the guy everybody loves for having the site but hates for not updateing it enough. I have been running this site since 1997. Before the name change to Axis & Allies.org the site was previously called DJ’s Axis & Allies Archive.
I’m 24 and I’ve been playing Axis & Allies for about 12 years. I don’t play nearly as much as I used to. I’m a software engineer in the San Francisco Bay Area so if you live here let me know so we can play sometime (except during the winter when there is snow in Tahoe).
-
wow man you can honestly say that youv’e been playing A&A for half your life.

My name is Kurt Reinmiller. I am from White Haven, Pennsylvania(NE corner of the state). I have never played the boardgame but bought the cd version about two years ago and was instantly addicted. I am currently vice-president of Spring1942( http://www.spring1942.org ), the best axis and allies ladder club on the net. I have also created Spring’s second database, Kremlin and soon to come out third database, Battleship Row.

Hey Djensen, your a Software engineer? Is that the politcally correct term of you make/play computer games for a living? Cool job…

Hey, my name is Doug i live in Winnipeg, MB, Canada. Thats Y2J Chris Jericho’s home for you WWF fans out there. Im 29 years old and have been playing A&A since 1988. I own both A&AE and A&AP. I like Every version of A&A ,except that Europe At War Garbage…that game is crap. Nothing beats a night of A&A gaming. Im also a WW2 Buff as well, cant get enough.

My name is Matt, I live in CR, BC canada. I love A&A and have been playing for four years. This is also the first time I have ever posted a message in this forum. Please don’t be offened when I say that is forum has some very basic strategies in it. But I would love to play some few of you a game some time.

My name is Anthony Basile, I am 28 yrs old and live in Germany. I speak German but I am originally from Orlando, FL. My father and I have played the game on and off for the last 17 years. I consider myself an average player, but I have played dozens of games and come across many situations when I’ve played. I have been a big fan of the game, and I also enjoy history.
