Ok, you win. I didn’t hit enough and you hit way too much on CPR the gamble didn’t pay off. Your second round was what your first round should have looked like. Oh well, such is war.
I didn’t mind trading air units if it meant losing the German ground forces, and permitted USA to take and hold the factory. I was looking for 7-8 hits by round two, instead I got 3.
Good game.
-
You played very well, I’ve noticed an improvement in your play style. I played sloppy and it shows this game. If you want another game, I’m up for it, if you want to try other players I understand as well.
-
I thought I’d have to loose planes in Cpr but seems I got lucky this time.
Ok for completions sake and since I tiped it out already. Here is the rest of Germanys turn.

Oh what improvements in my play style? I’m curious.
How about you go as Axis and I go as Allies for a change.
I’m quite a bit less experienced and also I think I don’t quite grasp the playstyle of the allies as well as I do Axis. -
Yea, I figured trading 5 air units for 2-3 German air units and 5 mech seemed worth while. It didn’t pan out. Oh well.
In terms of play style, you were very focused and efficient in your drive on Moscow this time around. Your builds were solid and functional. You didn’t take too many gambles, and were bold enough to hit Moscow the turn you did as I was about to pull out of there with the USSR air force and fast movers the following round.
You did something I was looking at with Japan, by going heavy on factories early on…Typically this can be a drain as you have to defend them, but the early DOW seemed to fit it very well. I was looking at a factory concept with a focus on eliminating China and using interior IPCs to stall in the pacific.
If we play, I’ll take axis, but I would very much like to stick with A2 including setup.
Is that ok?
-
That’s fine.
I think they overcompensated in Alpha+3 for the alleged Axisdisadvantege in Alpha+2. I had a few face to face games with it and the axis either eailiy won a controlled victory or lost because they took gambles they didn’t need to. So Alpha+2 is fine with me. Not even there I saw an overwelming Allies Advantage so I don’t now what the fuss was about. Well I’d like to see if the same general Strategy I did this game is feasible with Alpha+2 And since not that much is different I suppose it has good chances of working. -
Sorry for the bad spelling it’s quite late over here.
